Tulsi or holy basil is a plant native to India which is very popular for specialists in Ayurvedic medicine for its benefits. This plant belongs to the family of Basil and has relaxing properties, antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. A study by Dr Bhupesh Patel of Gujarat Ayurved University in Jamnagar has indicated that this plant would be very effective against H1N1 when consumed in infusion.
Tulsi also helps to purify the skin through its antioxidant, antiseptic and detoxifying. This plant removes excess sebum and helps tighten pores. Discover the different uses of Tulsi for your skin:
Tulsi against acne
Take 10 to 12 leaves of tulsi, 7 to 8 Neem leaves and a teaspoon of sandalwood powder. Make grind the leaves of Tulsi and Neem leaves, add sandalwood powder and some rose water to obtain a mask. Next, apply it to clean skin and leave it for 20 minutes then rinse. Sandalwood powder has the ability to tone the skin and deeply hydrate, while the antibacterial properties of Neem Tulsi reduce excess sebum and help prevent the occurrence of acne pimples.
Tulsi against dry skin
Take a few tulsi leaves that you will grind to powder. Then add a little sugar-free yogurt and mix the ingredients well, apply on your face and leave on for 15 to 20 minutes. Tulsi will tighten pores and preserve skin hydration, while yogurt contains lactic acid that penetrates the skin deeply and promotes hydration.
Against acne scars
The antiseptic and healing properties of Tulsi leaves help to accelerate the healing of the skin and stimulate cell renewal. To do this, every night before bed apply Tulsi powder mixed with coconut oil on the affected areas. You can also apply the mixture to heal wounds and burns.

For this, mix the Tulsi powder with some water so as to obtain a paste. Apply it on your face, let sit for 20 minutes then rinse it. Apply this tip for twice a week.
