More Than 80% Of People In The World Do This While It Causes Cancer

Our eating habits are the main factor affecting our health. By adopting habits that we sometimes believe to be harmless, we endanger our health and even our lives. Therefore, we will devote this article to one of these habits, considered by the World Health Organization (WHO), as a risk factor favoring the emergence of cancer! Let's find out!

A good cup of hot coffee in the morning to start the day in style, or a cup of hot tea to warm up during the cold winter days, are apparently habits of the most banal and widespread in the world. However, new warnings come to sound the alarm bells against these practices.

Hot drinks, possible carcinogens

According to the WHO, drinking too hot beverages could cause cancer. Indeed, studies in several countries, such as Turkey, Iran, China and the countries of South America, have shown that drinking liquids at temperatures above 65 ° C increased the risk To develop cancer of the esophagus.

According to the same studies, in which the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) took part, the drink itself would not have an impact on cancer risks, but the increase in Which acts as a risk factor.

Indeed, another study conducted in 2009 corroborates the findings of this study. The team of researchers in charge of the study chose the Iranian province Golestan to carry it out, because it contains the largest number of cases of cancer of the esophagus.

The results they obtained clearly demonstrated that people who drank tea at a temperature between 65 and 69 ° C had a double risk of developing this type of cancer while those who drank it at 70 ° C had 8 times higher risks compared to those who drink it warm or lukewarm, as in European or North American countries, where the average temperature of hot drinks does not exceed 60 ° C.

Indeed, such a temperature causes repeated burns in the throat and esophagus which considerably damage the cells and reduce their ability to repair and regenerate, which results in the appearance of cancer cells.
