Body When You Take a Nap

After a busy morning and without a moment of rest, you may be able to find a moment for a little nap. If you do it every day, you will be surprised to discover how beneficial it is to the body and mind. We are not talking about a 3 or 4 hour nap you would wake up to groggy, but sleep 30 minutes at least 3 times a week, or if possible every day.

It helps practice sport easier

The nap compensates for the energy you spent during the morning and early afternoon. So that when you go to the gym, at the end of the day, you will be at the top of your motor abilities.

It reduces your desire to snack

You've obviously noticed: when you do not have your sleep hours, you nibble constantly to get enough energy. Rather than rushing on a pack of chips or a chocolate bar to keep your eyes open, it's best for your line and your health in general to make a nap.

It reduces your stress level

When you lack sleep, your body produces more cortisol, which increases your stress levels. The best way to bring it down? A little nap that will make you see life again in pink.

It's good for your heart

We already know that lack of sleep is a major factor in cardiovascular disease. However, a study carried out by Harvard University showed that the risks are reduced by the nap which makes it possible to compensate for too short nights.

It improves the functioning of your brain

By operating your brain at full throttle from early in the morning until late at night, you risk overworking it. A nap of 30 minutes or more allows to rest it to optimize the operation. A study shows that it can improve the performance of your brain up to 24 hours later. It is not for nothing that we speak of "restorative" sleep.

Scientific studies have demonstrated the relationship between nap and increased psychomotor and cognitive performance. During the siesta the consolidation of learning and a better memorization of what has been inculcated.
