Ingredients
  • ½ cup of baking soda
  • ½ cup citric acid
  • ½ cup cornstarch
  • Spray bottle filled with water
  • Tote Bag
  • 25 drops of essential oils, preferably orange and lemongrass (or the perfume of your choice)
Preparation:
 
For starters, you will need a mold and a pair of gloves. Mix all ingredients, except essential oils, in the bag and shake well. Open the bag and stir the mixture 2 to 3 times with the spray bottle inside.

Repeat this step 5 to 7 times and if the bag inflates, let the air out. You will get a homogeneous paste. Add the essential oils of your choice and stir the mixture further.
Put the mixture in the molds you have chosen, store them firmly and let them dry in the air for two days. Remove them from the molds and let them air dry for a day or two more. Store and use them whenever you need to clean the toilet.

Benefits of citric acid and cornstarch

Citric acid: It is a natural, fully biodegradable vegetable acid that is often used for descaling, dissolving, cleaning and removing rust. It is obtained from vegetable matter, including 95% of the acidity of the lemon. This acid can descalarate limestone around faucets and appliances (dishwasher, kettle, washing machine ...). Citric acid is used to clean and disinfect worktops, toilet bowls, bathtubs and floors. It is also very effective in removing rust.

  • Citric acid should be used very diluted
