food

It is well known that diet plays an important role in preserving health. Consuming large portions of food, processed foods and foods rich in sugars, salt and fat increases not only the risk of obesity but also promotes the development of several diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease and cancer.

In the village of Hunzas, the inhabitants eat only natural and especially local. All the food they consume comes from their farming and agriculture. No imported or processed products. Their diet is healthy and balanced, based on a mixture of cereals (buckwheat, wheat, barley), organic fruits and vegetables, dairy products (milk and cheese) and dried fruits! Hunzas, however, do not consume a lot of meat (usually just during the winter season), alcohol or sugar, but eat a lot of dried apricots. Apricots have many health benefits. Thanks to their antioxidant richness, this food protects the body against the effects of free radicals and thus helps prevent cancer.

The Hunzas also practice fasting regularly and only eat raw fruits and vegetables during the summer. They do not consume much salt.

No stress :

Living in nature, day to day and working only to survive, the Hunzas do not experience stress! This people lives far from the unbridled lifestyle of big cities and has exchanged modernity for nature and simplicity.

Recall that stress is one of the major risk factors for many diseases, including cancer. Thus, by adopting a zen and relaxing lifestyle, the inhabitants of the village of Hunza can protect themselves against this evil, preserve their health and live longer.

In addition to their simple lifestyle, the Hunzas also practice meditation, renowned for reducing stress and calming the mind.

Researchers and scientists have also highlighted the good humor of the inhabitants of this village and their cheerfulness.

Physical activity :

Working all day in the fields, the Hunzas walk a lot and move a lot. Their day begins very early and ends at sunset. Young and old are used to this rhythm of life.

Their physical activity can be considered intense, which allows them to burn calories and therefore maintain a healthy weight, which helps prevent many diseases. Recall that the activity allows to improve the blood circulation and thus to favor the oxygenation of the tissues of the body.

The Hunzas work under difficult conditions but are still healthy. The air is much less polluted and they are less exposed to toxic substances, which can increase the risk of different diseases.

They are anything but sedentary! They work all day long and rest in the evening, making sure to sleep early, enjoy a restful sleep and be able to face a new day.

An incredible anecdote:

In 1984, a newspaper in Hong Kong published an anecdote about a Hunza who had traveled to England. Arrived at the airport in London, the Hunza Said Abdul Mobutu had surprised the authorities because he was born in 1823. He was therefore 160 years old, but did not look like!
