How To Save Your Dry And Cracked Feet

Do you suffer from dry and cracked feet? Is the skin of your feet red, scaly or rough? Do you notice cracks on your heels? These are all common symptoms of dry feet. Unfortunately, this is a problem suffered by several people with different degrees. Here are some simple and practical home remedies to get it through!

Unlike other parts of the body, the skin of the feet is not endowed with sebaceous glands whose main function is to produce sebum; a fatty substance allowing the skin to protect against external aggressions (bacteria, excess temperature ...), and thus to maintain a certain hydration and elasticity. It is endowed only with sweat glands that secrete the sweat. But often this sole source of hydration of the feet is not enough to keep them well hydrated.

Moreover, the most common causes of dry feet are cold, low hydration, too hot baths, exposure to the sun, lack of maintenance and aging. A dry foot can be very uncomfortable because of the burning and itching sensations that are beginning to manifest. So, do not leave this problem without treatment, try applying some of these home remedies as soon as possible.

1. Lemon juices

The natural acid that makes up lemon helps to dissolve or even eliminate dead skin, so it is advisable to soak your feet in a bath of lemon juice and water for ten minutes. Then smoothly gum the dead skin with a pedicure brush. Perform this foot bath once a week until crevasses disappear. Do not forget to hydrate your feet afterwards with a moisturizer or an oil of your choice.

2. Olive oil

The moisturizing properties of olive oil can be very useful for dry and cracked skin. It can be applied in several ways:
You can apply it generously on your heels then put on a pair of socks and let it sit overnight. Your heels will be soft, supple and hydrated.

You can use olive oil to massage your feet for about fifteen minutes every day.

To improve its effects, add a few drops of essential oil of lavender or lemon. Mix the selected ingredients in a pot and shake until a pasty solution is formed. Then apply the homemade paste to your dry heels. You can apply this oil several times a day to optimize its effect.

3. Sugar

Sugar is a natural exfoliant, here is a moisturizing home care that has the vocation of reducing calluses. It is recommended to rub your feet with a homemade exfoliating paste by mixing 4 tablespoons of sugar and 2 tablespoons of olive oil. To complete this treatment, apply a moisturizer.
