Recipe To Sleep Like A Baby

We have all experienced many sleepless nights staring at the ceiling unable to close the eye. Our mind wanders and without even whether we realize it, the sun begins to filter through the shutters. Many people try everything to fall asleep and eventually succumb to sleeping pills. Fortunately, there is another method, all natural, which can help you improve your sleep cycles.
Stress, depression and anxiety are the causes of irregular sleep patterns and insomnia. If your mind remains active and you continue to think, you can not fall asleep. Some medications can also cause insomnia, such as those used to treat heart diseases and blood pressure, etc. They can cause frequent trips to the bathroom or anxiety that disrupts your rest. It may be that you are addicted to your phone.
The long-term insomnia can cause serious health problems such as diabetes type 2. In fact, a study presented during the American Diabetes Congress in Philadelphia, showed that people who suffer from insomnia are more likely becoming diabetic or obese.
Tea with banana
This banana-based remedy infused may help you fall asleep more easily. The peel of the fruit is rich in potassium and magnesium. Now this mineral helps prevent sleep problems which are associated with the potassium, relaxes muscles. Preferably use an organic banana, because it does not contain pesticides.
- 1 ripe of banana
- 1 pinch of ground cinnamon (optional)
- 1 small jar of water
Cut both ends of the banana and place it without peel in a boiling water. Boil for 10 minutes. Pour the water into a cup with a strainer to filter. You can add a pinch of cinnamon for efficiency. Drink this tea an hour before sleep. You can also eat the boiled banana to enhance the relaxing effects so as to sleep better.
Why sleeping pills are bad?
They can obtain a short-term relief, but can not help you in the long run. Most of them are a specific type of drug that causes and prolongs sleep. They are classified among sedative hypnotics. 
These drugs are consisted of benzodiazepines (Xanax and Valium) and barbiturates. The benzodiazepines can be addictive and used to treat anxiety disorders by increasing drowsiness. The barbiturates depress the central nervous system and are used as anesthetics and sedatives.
They may cause side effects such as:
  • Difficulty concentrating and remembering;
  • dizziness
  • constipation
  • uncontrollable shaking
  • Weakness
  • Stomach pain
  • Parasomnias (sleep disorders manifested by bizarre dreams, disturbing visions, uncontrolled gestures ...)
  • Slowed breathing (this can be dangerous, even fatal, if you have a lung disease such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or asthma).
