How to Get Rid of Warts Quickly

Warts are skin lesions due to a human virus  named papillomavirus. They can occur in any part of the body and spread over time. Sometimes painful and awkward enough, they affect about 6 million of Americans. Find out how to remove them using a single ingredient!

What is a wart?

A wart is a rough projection of the skin that usually appears on the hands or the soles of the feet. It is due to direct contamination by HPV virus, which causes more or less bulky accumulation of keratin in the skin.
The varieties of this virus are numerous and can be transmitted in two ways:
Contamination by a third person  who is in direct contact with the virus, for example through a handshake.
A self-contamination: the same person infects other parts of the body (face, lips, genitals, etc.), scratching, by shaving or biting his nails.
The most people  at risk of developing this disease are those who have a weakened immune system, either due to illness, stress, lack of sleep or vaccination.
How to treat warts?
There are several kinds of treatment against warts and which depend on the variety of the HPV virus which is the cause and the affected body part. To help you get rid of warts naturally, here is a simple and effective tip based on a single ingredient: apple cider vinegar.

Apple cider vinegar against warts

Apple cider vinegar is one of the most popular remedies against warts. Thanks to its antioxidant content, citric and acetic acids, and its antiviral properties, it dissolves and eliminate overgrowth skin.
Before you try this trick, it is advisable to apply a little hollow with cider vinegar from your elbow to test your skin tolerance. If you feel a burning sensation, you're probably allergic and this remedy is then not advisable for you. If no allergic reaction occurs, you can use it safely.
First wash and thoroughly dry the affected area. Then, soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, wring to remove excess and apply directly on the affected area, trying not to spill. You can use tape to hold it in place. Leave on for 15 minutes, then rinse with clear water.
Reapply 3 times daily for 7 consecutive days. The warts will start to change color in a few days and will soon fall.
Another trick against warts: the duct tape
Another trick that has proven to be effective against warts is the application of an adhesive tape. A study of 26 people with warts, have applied adhesive tape over the affected areas has allowed 22 of them to eliminate them in just one month. The authors of this study, showed that the effectiveness of this tip is due to irritation from the tape which is prompting the immune system to fight against the virus.
Cut a piece of tape that matches the size of the wart, to avoid irritating the healthy skin around. Cover your wart and leave it in place for 7 days, replacing it if it falls. Once this period is over, remove it and apply a little warm water on the wart to soften it, then rub with a pumice stone. Repeat the same process until warts disappear.
Depending on the size and depth of warts, scars may occur. To reduce them, apply some aloe vera gel or calendula, known for their healing and restorative effect.
Warnings :
It is advised not to use these tips on warts that are located on the face (eyelids or around the eyes) and genital warts.
