If You Have Severe Osteoarthritis Knee Pain: This Simple Tip Will Instantly Relieve It

What is osteoarthritis?

Chronic knee pain is a common symptom of osteoarthritis. This constant and regular pain can be extremely painful, preventing you from living normally your daily routine. Discover how to relieve it naturally!

What is osteoarthritis?

Osteoarthritis is a disease that affects the joints and is manifested by pain and degeneration of the cartilage at the joints, leading to the destruction of the cartilage covering the ends of the bones. Note that the spine, knees and hands are the areas most affected by osteoarthritis.

Osteoarthritis by figures

Osteoarthritis affects about 17% of French people, or 9 to 10 million people. It generally affects older people, especially those over 70 years of age (85%), those over 65 years of age (50%) and those over 50 years of age (68%).

Risk factors for osteoarthritis

The main risk factors for osteoarthritis are:

- The age
- Obesity and overweight
- Genetic
- Trauma related to repetitive physical or occupational activity
- Aging of joints

Symptoms of osteoarthritis

The pain and stiffness of joints, relieved by rest and accentuated during movements, are the two main symptoms of osteoarthritis. Some inflammatory episodes (especially in the evening) and deformities (particularly in the fingers) may also occur.

Sport for stronger joints!

Although sport is not able to treat osteoarthritis, regular physical activity is highly recommended to maintain joint mobility, to complement the treatment of osteoarthritis, or to prevent osteoarthritis.

Indeed, sport helps to keep the shape, to tone the muscles and to protect and strengthen the joints. Adopting regular physical activity also helps maintain joint flexibility and amplitude while stimulating cartilage recovery. Attention: it is not advisable to do intense sports such as tennis, skiing or squash in case of osteoarthritis.

How to cure it ?
