Blood Says Personality

By coming into the world, each of us has a set of characteristics that differentiate it from others: size, shape of the face, skin color, but also its blood type. Besides, the latter is of particular importance since it influences several aspects of our life such as our personality, predisposition to diseases, etc. So check out the 9 things you need to know about your blood type!

The blood group is a blood classification performed on the basis of the presence or absence of antigens on the surface of the red blood cells, and there are four: A, B, AB and O.

9 Things You Should Know About Your Blood Type:

1 - Blood group and nutrition

Several scientific studies have shown that each blood group has a different chemical composition and has specific nutritional needs. For example, people in group A should avoid eating red meat and increase their intake of vegetables. People in group O should consume more protein and therefore eat more fish and meat (preferably white). As for people in group B, they should avoid eating chicken meat which slows down their metabolism and favor turkey meat or lamb meat (no more than twice a week). For the AB group, it is advisable to opt for lean meats and seafood.

2 - Blood group and diseases

Our blood type influences our risk of suffering from certain diseases. According to a study conducted by the Harvard School of Public Health in the United States, compared to Group O, those in Group A had a higher risk of cardiovascular disease by 5%, group B by 11% and 23% for the AB group.

3 - Blood group and personality

The people of group O are known to be sure of them, creative sociable and extrovert. On the other hand, those of the AB group are distinguished by their timidity, their reliability, their sense of responsibility and their ability to care for others. The individuals of group A are them, calm, trustworthy and have a great artistic sense. As for the people in group B, they have a strong personality, independent and very involved when it comes to achieving their objectives.

4 - Blood group and pregnancy

According to a study conducted by researchers at Yale University and Albert Einstein of Medicine in New York, out of 560 women, the blood groups of these also have an impact on their fertility. Women in the O group, for example, have a high rate of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), which means they have fewer eggs and therefore more difficulty conceiving, in contrast to women in group A.

5 - Blood group and stress

Depending on the levels of adrenaline and cortisol in the blood, each blood group reacts differently to traumatic situations. The group AB, for example, is characterized by a cortisol level that remains stable for a long time after stressful situations, and thus a better resistance to stress, unlike group O who have a higher adrenaline level and quickly lose their calm.

6 - Blood group and antigens

Each blood group is distinguished by different antibodies and antigens. So :

Group A: is characterized by the presence of antigens A and anti-B antibodies
Group B: has antigens B and anti-A antibodies
Group AB: is distinguished by its antigens A and B and by the absence of antibodies
Group O : is distinguished by the absence of antigens but includes anti-A and anti-B antibodies.

7 - Blood group and fetus

The rhesus factor defines a molecule of the immune system, which contains 5 antigens and is found on the wall of the red blood cells. When D antigen is present, the blood group is said to be rhesus positive (85% of the white population), and rhesus negative when it is not. Moreover, it has been medically proven that if the mother is Rh- while the father and the fetus have a Rh +, the risk that the antibodies of the mother's blood pass in the placenta and attack the red blood cells of baby is Quite high, especially if it is a second pregnancy.

8 - Blood group and physical exercises

Depending on their response to stress and their ability to manage their emotions, each blood group must perform the activities that are most beneficial to it. People in group A must do more yoga and meditation to better manage their stress and anger, while those in group B are advised to practice a martial art or climbing that stimulates their body and mind and satisfies Their need for challenge.

9 - Blood group and emergencies

It is recommended that you always carry your blood group card, which is very useful in the event of an accident or emergency. Thus, the medical corps can quickly determine your blood type if you ever need blood transfusion, and you are unconscious. This will allow you to gain precious minutes and avoid waiting for the results of a blood test.
