These Beauty Products Contain Chemicals That Cause Breast Cancer! Do Not Use Them Any More ...

Ladies, the cosmetics you use and that promise to take care of you, are not good for your health. Those containing parabens, in particular, were largely pointed at because these substances are considered endocrine disruptors and increase the risks of breast cancer. Explanations.

Cosmetic products, which have become essential for the majority of women, present a real health hazard. They contain significant quantities of harmful chemicals that can promote the development of several diseases, including cancer. Among the most criticized chemicals are parabens.

What is parabens?

Parabens are a family of preservatives that prevent the development of bacteria and fungi. They are widely used in cosmetics (shampoo, body and face creams, shaving creams, deodorants ...) as well as in food products (beverages, jams, sauces, pastries ...) and certain medicines.

The most commonly used parabens are methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben and butylparaben.

Parabens, what danger to health?

Parabens have a chemical structure similar to that of estrogens. They can disrupt the endocrine system by mimicking the activity of these hormones, which can have an effect on fertility and may increase the risk of hormone-dependent cancer (breast cancer).

In fact, according to a study cited in the WebMD Magazine website, following the presence of substances that stimulate growth, naturally existing in the mammary tissues, parabens can promote the development of hormone-sensitive breast tumors.

Another study by researchers at the University of Reading in the UK, published in the 2012 Journal of Applied Technology, also corroborated the link between parabens and breast cancer. The researchers found that 99% of the collected breast tissue samples from women who participated in this study contain at least 1 paraben and 60% of the samples contain no less than 5.

According to them, the high concentration of parabens in deodorants, could increase the levels of these substances in the body and thus increase the risk of breast cancer. Among the hypotheses posed by the researchers, that the paraben contained in deodorants can easily reach the breast tissue.

How to protect yourself from these substances?
Present in different products that we use on a daily basis, it may be difficult to avoid exposure to parabens. To protect themselves, we will have to take different measures.

Reading the ingredients list of a product you buy should be a reflex, whether to avoid parabens or any other dubious substance.
So, if you read: methylparaben, propylparaben, ethylparaben or butylparaben, avoid buying this product and look for those labeled "without parabens".

2 - Make your own cosmetic products:

Choosing non-paraben products not exposure to these materials, but what about other chemicals? Indeed, parabens are not the only materials described as harmful to health, many other chemicals are used in the manufacture of cosmetics and present a real health hazard. This is why it is advisable to get to the pulp and prepare your own cosmetics.

This increasing trend is known as slow cosmetic and goes hand in hand with this desire to respect the environment. Because, yes, chemicals also affect the environment!
