The soup-based detox cure should last between 1 and 3 days. The first month follow it for one day only, the following month it will last 3 days. During this detox period, you should drink plenty of water to promote the elimination of fluids and superfluous toxins from your body. Doctors recommend drinking up to 2 liters of water per day as adults.

Ingredients needed for detox soup

Prepare a vegetable stock, a miso or a soup. Then add spices such as ginger, turmeric, cumin, garlic, cinnamon etc. Include vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, zucchini, leek, onions, carrots, etc. Finally, incorporate vegetables rich in starchy foods such as potatoes, squash, parsnips, etc. Do not forget to put in proteins and legumes, like beans or lentils for example.

To obtain a more creamy texture, you can also add coconut milk or avocado.

Recipes of detox soup

1 - Broccoli Soup

You will need two and a half bouquets of broccoli, 3 celery slices thinly sliced, 1 chopped onion, 1 cup spinach or cabbage, 2 peeled and diced carrots, 2 cups broth, 1/2 teaspoon salt Sea salt, juice of half a lemon and two tablespoons of coconut oil.


You will first need to warm the coconut oil in a saucepan and then add the broccoli, celery and onion. Leave on fire for 5 minutes then pour the broth. Simmer for 5 minutes or until all the ingredients mix and the soup becomes thick.

2 - Carrot and Ginger Soup

You will need two finely chopped carrots, two onions, 6 cups broth, 3 tablespoons grated fresh ginger, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 cup of coconut milk, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, Salt, black pepper and an onion.


Place the carrots, ginger, garlic and broth in a saucepan and bring to a boil and simmer. Then sauté the onions and add the coconut oil. Let cook until a texture similar to that of caramel. Afterwards, place the onions and stock in a blender and mix for a few minutes. Finally, add the coconut milk and spices and mix well.

3 - Red Lentil Soup

You will need ¼ cup of coconut oil or olive oil, 2 sweet potatoes, one onion, 2 carrots and one apple (diced), ½ cup red lentils, ½ teaspoon ground cumin , ½ tablespoon of chili powder, ½ teaspoon paprika, 4 and a half cups broth, 1 root fresh ginger minced, sea salt, black pepper and finally, coconut cream.


Start by heating olive oil over low heat in a saucepan. Add the sweet potatoes, apple, carrots and onion and cook for 10 minutes. Then add the lentils, ginger, cumin, broth, chili powder and paprika then let the soup boil. Simmer for 30 minutes or until cooked through. When the soup becomes thicker, add the coconut cream.
