This Husband Looks At His Wife In A Coma, Then Hears Her Whispering

The testimonies of people who have recovered from a deep coma are mixed, some say they have not felt anything or heard while in a coma, while others say the opposite. As was the case of this young woman of 46 years, Lyndee Pellettiere-Swapp who plunged into a coma for 12 days. After the doctors decide to unplug it, the unthinkable happened. Discover his story!

There are many questions around coma: does a comatose person feel the pain? Does she hear her surroundings? It is important to note that patients admitted to intensive care are placed under sedation, so a priori, feel nothing. But science still has not ruled on this, only people who wake up from a comatose state can know!

What is coma?

Coma is an alteration of the relationship of oneself with others, it can be provoked or accidental. A general anesthesia is a voluntary coma by toxic substance, when it is accidental it can be due to a metabolic problem or lesions of the brain.

The symptoms of accidental coma differ depending on the stage:

- Stage 1: The ability to communicate with the patient is reduced, the patient at this stage is able to speak by making grunts during sound or painful stimulation.
- Stage 2: The waking ability of the patient disappears at this stage, its response is unsuitable for painful stimulation but no neurovegetative disorder.
- Stage 3: This is deep coma, at this stage there is no reaction to pain. Neuro-vegetative disorders are present.

How do you feel when you're in a coma?

The coma is a particular state, source of many questions concerning the feelings and the future of the patient. For the psychologist Michèle Grosclaude, coma is to be compared to the fetal state: we do not know what the comatose patients feel, but that does not mean that nothing happens. The experts continue to carry out research on the subject, to study the reactivity of the patients to the auditory messages, the results have thus shown that the pulse, the respiration, the temperature, the oxygen content of the blood vary when it is loaded. emotions.

However, the experiences of people who are close to death are various, below a testimony of a young woman who tells what she experienced during her comatose state!

Lyndee's story with coma!

When Steven Pellettiere-Swapp found his mother, Lyndee, unconscious in the family home, he immediately called 911. She was rushed to the hospital where she remained for 12 days in a comatose state.

Lyndee was completely insensitive to external stimuli. Unable to move or respond to anyone, the family prepared for the worst. Despite this, the husband often whispered to him and kept asking him to fight, but his words seemed to fall on deaf ears.

The doctors finally told Lyndee's family that she would probably never wake up and will have to be unplugged.

The broken heart, her husband and her children decide to follow the doctors' instructions. To honor his wishes, they intended to give his organs to those who needed them.

Then something amazing happened! As the caregiver removed her from the resuscitation system and her family members were about to say goodbye to her, Lyndee spoke four words that left everyone astonished: "I am a fighter".
The family was shocked to hear these words! Lyndee was alive, she was not ready to give up. The young woman recovered surprisingly well and decided to tell her inspiring story.

She says she recalls her husband begging her to fight, she remembers that her niece read to her and she even remembers hearing their talk about unplugging her.

Finally, even though Lyndee was unconscious she was able to hear everything! Through this story, Lyndee wanted to encourage families to always support their sick loved ones and not give up on them. She advises to always treat the patient in coma as a person in its own right!
