Causes Of Water Retention And Its Remedies

Sedentary life, long-term medication, or pregnancy can lead to symptoms of fluid retention. Although the latter is not life threatening, it should be noted that it can also hide a kidney infection or heart failure. Fortunately, there are natural ways to avoid water retention and reduce swelling.

What are the causes of water retention?

Dehydration
Dehydration causes the body to survive and therefore retain water. To avoid this, regular consumption of water and potassium-rich juices must be ensured.

Excessive consumption of processed foods
Processed foods are high in sodium and sugar and cause water retention. It also turns out that they contain artificial food additives that act like toxins, thus soliciting the liver and kidneys. Avoiding this type of food is therefore strongly advised.

Potassium deficiency
Potassium is an essential mineral that helps maintain the normal balance of water in the body. It is found in most fruits, but watermelon and melon are the richest. Do not forget honey that contains 52 mg of potassium in 100g.

Excessive sodium consumption
Salt has the property of retaining water in the body. Thus, a diet high in salt with reduced water consumption will encourage your body to use its reserves, which leads to retain the water that causes the cells to dilate up to 20 times.

Vitamin B6 deficiency
Vitamin B6 plays a vital role in controlling water in the body. It can be obtained by eating foods such as dried fruits, chicken, turkey, tuna, potatoes with their skin, pistachios, lean beef, bananas, and sunflower seeds.

Magnesium deficiency
A deficiency of magnesium, which is an essential mineral, can lead to water retention. Foods rich in magnesium include spinach, avocados, green vegetables, dried fruits, dark chocolate, nuts, whole grains and peas.

Filter the brew and drink a cup before each meal for 1 month.

Consume this infusion 3 times a day. However, because of its high vitamin K, the use of parsley is not recommended in people on anticoagulant therapy.
