The essential oil of peppermint
Notoriety, the essential oil of peppermint is known for its therapeutic virtues for our health; it can treat various ailments, including migraine, acute diarrhea, fatigue, swollen legs, etc ... However, it also recognizes the properties of a natural repellent against insects. The menthol contained in peppermint, repels ants that do not support its strong smell. By immersing themselves in this oil, the ants find themselves unbalanced because their sense of smell and their communication are disturbed.

The essential oil of clove
In addition to the health benefits of this oil that is known to treat dental problems and many other ailments, including fatigue, migraines, fungal infections of the feet, it also recognizes the property of an insect repellent. Its component, named eugenol, has a special smell that allows it to be used to keep insects and parasites away.

Preparation of the natural repellent

Ingredients:
  • 30 drops of peppermint essential oil
  • 120 ml of water
  • 30 drops of essential oil of clove

Instructions :

In a clean and dry sprayer, put the two essential oils and add the water. Stir the mixture well so that it is homogeneous. Spray this mixture in your kitchen, bathroom or any other corner of the house, likely to be ant nests. Repeat the process, if necessary to remove them permanently from your home.

This repellent also helps keep spiders and other insect species away. Tip: Keep a peppermint plant at the edge of the window or inside your house.

Warnings

Menthol in Peppermint essential oil is not recommended for pregnant and lactating women, children under 6 years of age, and people with high blood pressure. Therefore, avoid contact with this product.

Clove oil is also not recommended for pregnant, breastfeeding women and children under 12 years of age.
