Characterized by skin growths, warts are caused by the papillomavirus, which develops in the epidermis. Several forms of warts exist, although the most common are vulgar and plantar warts. What natural remedies?

Honey
With its antibiotic and anti-inflammatory properties, honey promotes the healing of wounds, acts as a protective barrier against pathogens, repairs and regenerates the skin. Therefore, it is recommended to apply a thick layer on the wart, cover with a clean cloth and leave for a whole day. Finally, rinse and clean the area and repeat every day until the wart completely clears.

Garlic
Thanks to its antimicrobial properties, garlic is particularly effective in cases of warts. Indeed, a report on garlic in dermatology, by Nader Payzar and Amir Feily of the Dermatological Department of the Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences (Iran), showed that topical application of garlic is beneficial in the treatment warts because it inhibits the proliferation of cells infected by the virus in view of its content of alliciline, phenolic acids and flavonoids. To use it, simply chop garlic and apply it on the wart and cover with a dressing overnight. The next day, clean and dry cleanly the affected area. Note that garlic can be irritating so do not use it on the surrounding area.

Skin tags are skin growths that are found at the folds of the skin. These small benign tumors do not have exact causes for their appearance. Tea tree oil
Tea tree oil is composed of monoterpenols, biochemicals that promote the elimination of pathogens. It is therefore given antibacterial, antiseptic and sanitizing properties effective in the treatment of skin disorders including skin tags. For the latter, it allows them to dry, while disinfecting the area, so that they fall by themselves. To use it, just take a cotton ball, soak with water and then add 2 to 3 drops of tea tree oil. Apply on acrochordon for one to two weeks, until it is removed. However, always use diluted tea tree oil (with water or vegetable oil) to avoid a skin reaction.

Apple cider vinegar
Being an antibacterial and natural disinfectant, cider vinegar helps regulate the pH of the skin and participates in cell renewal thanks to its content of amino acids, pectin and antioxidants including beta-carotene. Moreover, given its astringent virtues, it allows to dry the skin tags and eliminate them. Apply with a cotton pad on the skin tag for several days, until it detaches itself. Note that in case of sensitive skin or a particular skin disease, it is better to take the advice of your doctor before using this remedy.

Brown spots
Causes caused by acne scars, skin aging, hormones or exposure to the sun, brown spots are linked to an overproduction of melanin. They appear mainly in the hands, face and shoulders and are often complex. Although creams exist to reduce these brown spots, it is better to turn to natural remedies!

Lemon
Rich in citric acid and antioxidants, lemon eliminates toxins found in the body that accelerate the skin aging process. With its antimicrobial and astringent properties that give it a natural whitening power, it helps to reduce brown spots. Apply on the stains with a cotton pad soaked in lemon juice. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes then rinse and apply a moisturizing lotion. Make one or two times a week whitening care and the evening preferably because the lemon has a photosensitizing effect.

Aloe vera
Promoting cellular regeneration, aloe vera is particularly effective in preventing and fighting skin conditions such as brown spots. Indeed, this plant contains vitamin E and antioxidants that promote the elimination of free radicals causing skin aging. To enjoy it, apply the gel of this plant on the brown spots, leave it to act for about fifteen minutes then rinse.
