The Tip With Banana, A Natural Treatment Against Acne

Acne is the most common skin condition. It can develop as a result of bacteria, clogged pores, dead skin cells or excessive sebum production by the skin, and can be aggravated by many factors, such as hormones, certain medications, diet and the stress. Acne can be frustrating, bothersome and difficult to treat, but without treatment, permanent spots and scars can appear on the skin.

There are various acne treatments available, but many of them are expensive, while others have unwanted side effects. But we have good news for you! Instead of throwing banana peel next time, you can keep it and use it as a natural acne treatment.

Is banana peel good for acne?

Banana peel contains antioxidants such as lutein that help protect the skin from damage from factors such as sun and pollution. It is also an abundant source of fatty acids that help treat problems such as eczema and psoriasis. Bananas also contain a large amount of zinc, which helps fight acne, and vitamin B6 which is a complex vitamin B needed for good skin health.

Try one of these five methods with banana peel to help heal your acne and reveal a smoother, clear and radiant skin:

1. Banana peel
Wash your face with cold water and your usual cleanser, then dry with a clean towel.
  • Cut the banana peel into small pieces
  • Massage the skin with the inside of the banana peel for 10 minutes.
  • If one piece turns brown, discard it and start with another piece.
  • Wait 20 minutes for the skin to absorb the nutrients.

- Repeat the process 2 to 3 times a day.

2. Banana peel and oatmeal
Oats work very well as a natural skin exfoliator. It contains zinc that reduces inflammation and kills the bacteria responsible for acne.
  • In a blender, mix 1 banana peel with 1/2 cup of oatmeal and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
  • Mix until smooth and pasty.
  • Massage the affected skin with this mixture and leave on for 10 minutes.
  • Rinse with warm water and allow to dry.

  • Use a cotton ball to apply the paste only to the affected skin.
  • Massage gently and leave on for 5 minutes, then rinse with warm water and allow to dry.
