One Spoon Protects Your Immune System Against Inflammatory Diseases

Whether it's used as a medicinal remedy, a beauty product, or a powerful cleansing agent, baking soda fulfills its role perfectly and its many virtues are as many as they are effective. Not to mention its alkalizing properties that allow the human body to fight against hyper-acidification and promote an anti-inflammatory environment to fight diseases such as arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.

We can actually see that baking soda, a cheap product, is all at once! Disinfectant, purifying, cleaning, sanitizing ... Its effectiveness is recognized and irreproachable.

But it has even more powerful and valuable benefits, especially for health and especially for autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis or arthritis, chronic inflammatory rheumatism. One study even says that a daily dose of baking soda dissolved in water could significantly reduce inflammation of autoimmune diseases.

Study shows action of baking soda against autoimmune diseases
A study conducted by Augusta University in the United States and published in The Journal of Immunology, highlights that baking soda would promote an anti-inflammatory environment in the body.

The joint study in rats and humans demonstrates that consumption of dilute sodium bicarbonate has a direct influence on mesothelial cells. This "informs" these cells that the body is not attacked or affected by an external body, which prevents the triggering of an inflammatory immune response that can attack the body.

The study also highlighted an increase in other types of immune cells such as regulatory T cells, a subpopulation of immune cells, that reduce the immune response.

The researchers in the study consider that baking soda would initiate all these changes from its interference with the mesothelial cells of the spleen, an organ that plays a role in immunity and especially in the regeneration of blood cells and that the response Inflammatory is a result of acetylcholine signals (neurotransmitter) via microvilli connecting the mesothelial cells and the organ they surround. This mechanism would stop the runaway immune system related to inflammatory rheumatism such as rheumatoid arthritis or arthritis.

Traditional treatments for arthritis / rheumatoid arthritis
Generally to treat these two autoimmune diseases, symptomatic or relief medications such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, corticosteroids, immunosuppressive substances that decrease the activity of the immune system and some DMARDs based on lulling symptoms are most commonly used. The goal of these treatments is to act on the mechanisms of the disease in order to induce a remission or a better therapeutic control of the disease.

However, these treatments can also have significant cardiovascular side effects, with an increased risk of heart attack or stroke especially for anti-inflammatory drugs. With regard to corticosteroids, these can cause sometimes very serious side effects such as high blood pressure, infections or even a high risk of osteoporosis.

Hence the importance and the need to develop additional research on the link of baking soda and its action on diseases

Autoimmune. This can be an effective, non-binding and "cheap" treatment.

Other medicinal properties of baking soda
Because of its alkalizing, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and antiseptic properties to name a few, baking soda has the natural ability to prevent and cure all kinds of ailments. Thus, it can be used for teeth whitening, to relieve sunstrokes and skin irritation, bad breath, body odor, nail fungus and of course this list is not exhaustive!

* Warning: Baking soda is not recommended for pregnant women and people applying coloring on their hair. Note that it also has abrasive properties for the skin; it is therefore to be used with moderation.
