People Who Consume Cheese Live Longer, Researchers Say

Who says cheese, says fat? Not necessarily ! This dairy product prized by consumers around the world and a true emblem of French gastronomy is rich in calcium, phosphorus, proteins and carbohydrates. These vitamins are essential for the proper functioning of the human body and is a protective end against metabolic diseases or cardiovascular.

With more than a hundred varieties to its credit, cheese, often perceived as an enemy of diets, is, on the contrary, an important ally for the proper functioning of the human organism. Dairy product containing a high amount of calcium, necessary for the construction and fortification of bones, it also holds, a consequent intake of many vitamins, nutrients and minerals.

The consumption of dairy products due to their high saturated fat content is known to increase the risk of death related to coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular diseases and the risk of developing cancers.

However, a study presented at the 2018 annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology, tends to demonstrate the opposite by arguing that dairy products would protect both total mortality and cerebrovascular mortality.

Study reveals health benefits of cheese
A study conducted by Professor Maciej Banach of the University of Lodzen Poland and presented at the 2018 annual congress of the European Society of Cardiology, suggests after various analyzes, comparisons and evaluations, that the consumption of all dairy products including cheese, was associated with a total mortality risk of 2%. In addition, cheese consumption was associated with a total mortality risk of 8%. The overall risk of death, regardless of the cause, was 15% higher for people who consumed less carbohydrate from dairy products, particularly cheese.

As Professor Maciej Banach points out, low-carbohydrate diets should be avoided in favor of those with higher levels. Low-carb consumers are more likely to succumb to coronary artery disease, more likely to die from cerebrovascular disease or even cancer.

The consumption of dairy products and especially those low in fat and including cheese, is affiliated with a reduction of the risk of cardio accident brain pressure 13%.
