A banana is cut in half lengthwise and placed in the dish, are added 3 scoops of ice cream with vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. A chocolate sauce, strawberry or caramel is poured on the ice, then crushed nuts on the top and finally a garnish of maraschino cherry.

This recipe is a revisit of traditional banana split, lower in sugar and calories. She is fresh, easy, and delicious! After dinner or lunch, this dessert is light enough to please both adults and children!

The ingredients of this recipe are for 8 people
  • 3 cups light vanilla ice cream
  • 1 cup and 1/2 strawberries in small slices
  • 2 cups light whipped cream
  • 1 jar of sugar-free chocolate dessert cream
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 2 tablespoons light chocolate syrup
  • 1 tablespoon crushed walnuts
  • 8 maraschino cherries

The preparation steps:

1. Make available all the ingredients so that the ice does not melt too much once you start to assemble the pie.

2. Once slightly softened, pour the ice cream into a large pie pan and spread it in an even layer along the bottom. Place the strawberry slices flat on the ice cream, pressing lightly to sink into them.
