Strep throat is characterized by pain and edema in the throat. It is caused by group A streptococcal bacteria, hence its name, SGA. Thus, swallowing or talking can become extremely painful.

Strep throat is caused by a bacterium called "streptococcus" and remains contagious. Its transmission is most often through coughing or sneezing.

Natural remedies for strep throat

1. Lemon essential oil
It is composed of monoterpenes that act as anti-infectives against bacteria and viruses. 3. Apple cider vinegar
This ingredient contains acetic acid that acts as a powerful antibacterial for sore throat and pain relief. It can be used as a gargle by pouring 3 teaspoons of vinegar into 200 milliliters of heated water and using it 3 times a day.

4. Coconut oil
Coconut oil is an oil extracted from coconut meat and has a high lauric acid content, reputed to fight bacteria, fungi and viruses in the body.

5. The essential oil of peppermint
The menthol contained in this essential oil helps to give a feeling of freshness and soothing in the throat. Its antalgic power comes from subcutaneous vasoconstriction (tightening of blood vessels) and the refreshing sensation of the skin it causes. Just add a few drops of peppermint essential oil to a small glass of hot water and use it as a gargle for five minutes.

6. The bone broth
Bone broth helps hydrate the body and increase the capacity of the immune system through the minerals it contains such as magnesium, calcium or phosphorus. Thus, it reduces inflammation of the throat with chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine and other compounds extracted from boiled cartilage.

7. Elderberry
In addition to the vitamins A, B6, C and iron it contains, elderberry is rich in polyphenols that are powerful natural antioxidants to fight against various diseases, boost the immune system and relieve sore throat.

8. Honey
Eucalyptus honey or Manuka honey are rich in antioxidants and antibacterial properties to fight against sore throats. The flavonoids they contain help fight against free radicals in the body and strengthen the immune system to fight against bacteria.

9. Himalayan salt
Himalayan salt is rich in minerals and electrolytes that promote good health of the body's cells and help to stabilize the body's pH. For this purpose, it acts as an antibacterial and strengthens the immune system to fight against bacteria. Just put ½ teaspoon in half a glass of water and drink it.

10. The chamomile tea
