Kidney stones, often compared to small stones, are in the kidneys and can be very painful. The pain felt is usually related to the location of these stones. Depending on their size, they can sometimes be treated with natural remedies very simple and accessible to all. In this article, we offer a blend of olive oil and lemon juice.

In the majority of cases, kidney stones are usually difficult to identify. We feel a slight pain but we do not necessarily think about kidney stones. This means that the small stones are always at the level of the renal pelvis. As soon as they approach the urethra or bladder, the pains begin to manifest themselves. This remedy based on lemon and olive oil relieves these ailments, and prevents the aggravation of the calculation by getting rid of these small pebbles.

Kidney stones
Kidney stones are small stones that form in the renal pelvis, and represent one of the most common diseases of the urinary tract. The most common type of calculation is calcium oxalate which is initiated from Randall's patches present on the surface of the renal papillae. These plaques composed mainly of calcium are an environment conducive to the development of urinary stones.

When they are small, these stones are eliminated by the body through the urine. They cross the bladder safely and after a few days or even weeks, they disappear as silently as they appeared. All you have to do is drink a lot of fluids to help eliminate them. However, for larger size calculations, the cramps felt require the taking of painkillers and in the most developed cases, a medical intervention to remove them.

Indeed, kidney stones can be extremely painful. These may remain blocked in the urethra or bladder. In addition, it is difficult to recognize a kidney stone if the symptoms have not yet manifested.

The symptoms of kidney stones are related to their location in the body. These pebbles can indeed be located in the kidneys, urethra, or urinary bladder. If they do not block one of these parts, the calculations may go completely unnoticed because there are no symptoms that allow us to identify them. Moreover, very often people who feel a feeling of discomfort in the kidneys do not think about a kidney stone because they associate it with a really intense pain.

When it comes to large stones, symptoms can manifest themselves in many ways. People who suffer from it are particularly prone to kidney colic. These pains, often abrupt, vary in intensity and are sometimes accompanied by nausea and vomiting. They last on average from 20 to 60 minutes and spread from the side to the lower abdomen. Other symptoms such as hematuria (blood in the urine), obstructive uropathy (bladder infection) or hydronephrosis (dilation of the kidneys) can also be used to diagnose kidney stones.

Why lemon and olive oil?
Lemon helps to minimize the formation of pebbles in the kidneys and olive oil acts as an anti-pain agent to relieve kidney pain. According to a study by Dr. Roger L. Sur, a urologist and director of UC San Diego's Comprehensive Kidney Stone Center, drinking lemon juice mixed with two liters of water a day would have reduced the rate of pebble formation in the kidneys. from 1 to 0.13 pebbles per patient. Indeed, Dr. Sur insists on the benefits of lemon when it comes to the kidneys. This citrus fruit, rich in citrate, is a natural inhibitor of kidney stones. A second study conducted by scientists at the Monell Chemical Senses Center shows that extra virgin olive oil contains oleocanthal that has anti-inflammatory properties similar to ibuprofen.
