Method 2: Lemon Juice, Olive Oil and Vitamin E

This method helps the skin to improve its appearance and elasticity. This mixture also moisturizes the skin to find a smooth skin and prevent future stretch marks.

Benefits of the ingredients:

Lemon
Thanks to the citric acid it contains, lemon juice acts as a bleaching agent that can reduce dark brown spots due to stretch marks. It breaks down the pigmentation of melanin and limits its overproduction. According to a study published in International Journal of Molecular Sciences, researchers found that lemon juice has a similar effect as some cosmetic creams in reducing skin pigmentation. It will thus mitigate the apparent effect of stretch marks.

Olive oil
This natural oil is rich in essential nutrients, essential for healthy skin. Olive oil is rich in vitamin E, which is an emollient and skin conditioning agent. It also contains squalene and triglycerol which moisturizes the skin and fights its dryness.

According to a study published in the scientific journal Scientia Pharmaceutica, Olive oil contains healing and anti-inflammatory compounds. With its moisturizing and antioxidant properties, it prevents the appearance of stretch marks on the skin.

Vitamin E
Vitamin E is important for the health of the skin, and acts as both an antioxidant and a protector against UV rays. Applying vitamin E directly to the skin in combination with a cream or oil is a very effective way to increase nutrient levels in skin tissue. Vitamin E has powerful antioxidant properties that can help prevent stretch marks. According to a study published in the Indian Dermatology Online Journal, vitamin E protects by its antioxidant power the collagen fibers in the skin against free radical damage. Moreover, vitamin E is an ingredient found in many skin care products, including moisturizers, lotions and also anti-stretch mark creams.

Caution
Lemon is a photosensitizer and therefore, it is not recommended to expose to the sun after applying it on the skin.
