Popular Drink Destroys Your Thyroid And Your Health

Weight gain, fatigue, memory problems and visible deformity under the skin, these signs may reveal a problem in the thyroid gland. The consumption of soy milk can have a detrimental effect on our health and more particularly on the thyroid function. Discover through this article all the effects and consequences of regular consumption of soy milk.

More than 6 million American people, or 10% of the population, suffer from dysfunction of the thyroid gland. This gland is located on the anterior surface of the neck and is used to make hormones from the iodine it collects in our diet.

How does our thyroid gland work?

Like all other glands, the thyroid is a hormone plant. It hides four types of hormones:

Tri-iodotyrosine (T3) and thyroxine (T4) stimulate lipid, carbohydrate and protein metabolism, as well as growth.

The thyroglobulin (Tg) which allows the capture of iodide ions.

Thyrocalcitonin (or calcitonin), which has the role of lowering the blood level of calcium and phosphorus by preventing bone destruction.

Thyroid disorders can occur if this gland secretes too much or little hormones, we speak here of hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. Generally, the thyroid produces the amount of hormones required under the order of another hormone, called thyroid stimulating hormone or TSH (this hormone is secreted by the pituitary gland). An excess of thyroid hormones can cause hyperthyroidism, which in turn causes various disorders and diseases. Hyperthyroidism accelerates certain functions of the body, such as the pulse, which will cause a real heart rhythm disorder. Unlike hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism is the consequence of insufficient amount of hormones. People suffering from this disease notice a slowing down of the metabolism.

Why soy milk should not be consumed?

Despite studies and research on the subject, which show that regular consumption of soy milk obviously has adverse health effects, some people continue to consume it in large quantities.

The harmful effects of soy on health:

Soybean and its derivatives have goitrogenic effects. They block and prevent the absorption of iodine and inhibit thyroid hormones and treatment with levothyroxine. Soy can also interfere with the absorption of the drug, which inhibits the effect of thyroid hormones, so it is advisable to avoid consuming soy products at the same time as taking the treatment.

Soybean contains a substance known as hemagglutinin, which agglutinates red blood cells, promotes clots and reduces oxygen uptake. It associates with the membranes of the enterocytes and slows down their functions. This is what causes a decrease in nutrient absorption, colitis and stunted growth.

It also contains phytoestrogens that disrupt endocrine function. In addition, this ingredient can cause several diseases, including breast cancer and infertility in humans.

- Soy products contain large amounts of toxic aluminum, which negatively affects the kidneys and the nervous system. These products can also be one of the causes of the development of Alzheimer's disease.

- Soy milk is loaded with anti-nutrients that are difficult to neutralize and are responsible for several malfunctions. The daily intake of two glasses of soy milk can have negative effects on the menstrual cycle.

- Soy products are produced at very high temperatures. Regular consumption of these products is very dangerous for health.

- Soy can contribute to vitamin B12 deficiency.

- Soy products contain toxic isoflavones, such as daidzein and genistein. These two substances stimulate the growth of breast cancer cells.

- 70% of global soybean production is genetically modified. In addition, soy is one of the foods most contaminated by pesticides.

- The packaging used for soy products contains phytic acid which can impact the absorption of calcium, copper, iron, magnesium and zinc.

According to several studies in rats, it has been found that soy and its derivatives contain carrageenan. This red algae additive can cause cancer in the breast, colon cancer and intestinal ulcers, which inevitably lead to destruction of the intestinal wall.

Note: Soy milk must not be consumed by pregnant women or babies. The phytoestrogens contained in soy milk mimic the activity of female estrogens, which could have dangerous effects on the health of your future baby.
