LG G Flex Review

In 2014  the American model of LG G Flex tablet 6-inch curved was introduced. I had the chance to spend time with the new LG G Flex smartphone banana shaped in the LG press and pavilion conference. Here's a first impression and short review on the LG G Flex. The curved chassis is said to improve your listening, conversation and audio experience.

Design and quality making : LG G Flex Review

The first preview of the LG G Flex indicates that this regular phone, is the first of its kind in the industry. The body of 6 inches is slightly curved inward as LG, should provide the user with a better listening, viewing and speaking experience, not to mention more ergonomic fit to the shape for your face. In addition, when deposited on a flat surface, the speakers are not covered. Not only that, this is the first flexible kind of devices to reach the market, and this flexibility makes it much more robust and durable.

The body is actually light enough to its larger size, just 6.24 ounces, it did not feel much heavier than my Galaxy S3 which I held in the other hand. The design is certainly interesting, but I would not say that, with its plastic frame, it is elegant. Some may disagree, because it is quite similar to the LG G2, which is one of the best smartphones in the market. With many people touching the device, it was quickly splashed with fingerprints making it quite unappealing. That said, it has a back-healing coverage through a special resin coating.

This means that if it is scratched with a key, for example, marks will disappear after a few hours. on the other hand, it does not give the impression to break easily. You will find the iconic LG buttons for volume controls, power and physical shutter. In my review, the real beauty of the camera is its stunning display that immediately caught attention. Exposure : LG G Flex Review The LG G Flex has an OLED display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 and 245 ppi, whose image is improved through the body curve. LG believes that the curved screen reproduces more natural viewing, imitating how you see when looking around in the real world, like a panoramic image. I can attest that it really has a great representation of color, perspective angle, contrast and saturation.

LG G Flex Review

HD OLED screen is very nice, even when zoomed. The naked eye does not capture the fact that it is not Full HD.

The large screen is ideal for watching video and when I looked at some demonstration videos found in their library, I really liked what I had seen. I can imagine that playing games on the device would also be nice, although I have not had the opportunity to do it again .

Software : LG G Flex Review
LG packed his usual interface in the LG G Flex, in addition to the features that have been brought for the first time with the G2 and G Pad, built some new ones. The features of LG G2 are brought here and KnockOn Guest Mode as examples. The first of these is its multitasking capability. Long press of the back button brings you easily to this function by presenting you with a list of applications to choose from. First you press long and drag one to the top of the screen and the bottom. From here you can easily exchange data from application to application, like an image in an email.
The multitasking tool is easy to use and very convenient.

There is also a new feature that can be used from the lock screen: "QTheatre" where the user has to drag their fingers as if spreading the curtains in a theater, a reverse pinch . This reveals few options like choose for playing videos .

Guest mode was brought to the C, like the G2. You can set up different methods of unlocking your guest or child when they choose to access the telephone, all with a new interface and the reduced content.

Performance : LG G Flex Review
Shot with a 800 processor quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon checking 2.26GHz and 2GB of RAM, it will not be a surprise to you that with the best mobile processors, the curvy smartphone runs smooth as butter. Flipping home screens was very fluid, open applications without delay of seconds and videos are not left out either.

Camera : LG G Flex Review

The LG G Flex is filled with the camera features of the LG G2 with a new addition to help users make better selfies with the camera, 13 MP in rear view. When you launch the camera application and turn around so you are looking at the goal back, a good LED light flashes yellow on the keys as it tries to recognize your face. After that it is green when it stalled in you and you press the hardware button to trigger the shot. This will allow you to get better photos without having to guess where it is heading. The front camera has 2.1 MP resolution and a camera that provide the same as others high-end smartphones .

The photos I took were standard but not turn your head. The only thing missing in the LG G Flex is the optical image stabilization. It also has the usual modes and device settings.

Battery : LG G Flex Review
Although the LG G Flex is not much heavier than my Galaxy S3, the battery exceeds the S3 exponentially. The new smartphone comes with a bandaged battery Li-Polymer 3500 mAh. This will last a long time, I have no doubt. Although, of course, in the short time in which I spent with the device, I could not really test. The creation of their new battery twisted surely just the beginning though. The 3400 mAh battery is T-Mobile.

Final Verdict : LG G Flex Review
After a short time spent playing with the LG G Flex, I can say I am really impressed by a number of things that LG did: the screen is nice with performance, thanks to its ultra processor fast, are undoubtedly the main advantages for this Android device, placing it at the head of the race of smartphones. I do not know whether the design will do well in the market, but it certainly turns heads. It is also a pity that the camera is pretty average without OIS. Although I did not like the look of the material, it has a premium look and feel and is super light, a nice touch to a great smartphone. And there's the battery that's fine too. Of course, more testing should be done to really discover the scope and extent of the LG G Flex in the software and battery life.
