These Dietary Supplements Are Ruining Your Health And You Should Stop Taking Them Immediately

Dietary supplements play an important role in the daily lives of athletes and people who suffer from certain health problems. Although they can help improve our health, the fact remains that they contain 95% of harmful chemicals for our body.

In general, dietary supplements are not made with natural ingredients, but instead use synthetic ingredients that contain fake vitamins and artificial colors. These components can not be absorbed by the human body and can cause serious and permanent damage to some of our organs.

Dietary Supplements

You should pay attention to the following ingredients:

Titanium dioxide

Titanium dioxide is a pigment added to vitamin supplements. This pigment has been classified as a carcinogenic ingredient for humans. According to the results of scientific studies and research, it can cause cancer of the respiratory tract in rats tested, only by inhalation. This compound can also severely weaken the immune system.

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) classifies titanium dioxide as a Group 2B carcinogen, which means it is "possibly carcinogenic to humans". This was based on an animal study showing that inhalation of high concentrations of titanium dioxide dust can lead to lung cancer.

Stearic acid and magnesium stearate

These substances can be found in any supplement. Generally it is a combination created magnesium and stearic acid, and this because of its lubrication capabilities. According to studies, this substance can severely affect natural "killer" cells, which will lead to reduced cell viability and function.

Magnesium stearate is hydrophobic (which may sound like it does not like water), and there are reports suggesting that it can slow the rate at which drugs and supplements are dissolved in the gastrointestinal tract. Directly affecting the body's ability to absorb chemicals and nutrients, the protective nature of magnesium stearate can theoretically make a drug or dietary supplement truly useless if the body can not break it down properly.

Carrageenan

Carrageenan is a red algae extract that has thickening and stabilizing properties. Many studies have shown that this ingredient can cause gastrointestinal inflammation and colon cancer in laboratory animals. It can also lead to diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome and other problems.

Independent carrageenan experts like Joanne Tobacman, associate professor of clinical medicine at the University of Illinois in Chicago, insist that exposure to carrageenan clearly causes inflammation. The amount of carrageenan in food products is sufficient to cause inflammation. Carrageenan, whether degraded or of quality, remains harmful to health.

Artificial dyes

Another 2007 study from the University of Southampton, UK, found that dietary dyes, with a preservative called sodium benzoate, increased hyperactivity in both 3-year-olds and children 8 and 9 years old.

Other harmful components contained in food supplements

There are other components from GMOs that are contained in synthetic supplements, such as:
  • Citric acid
  • Lactic acid
  • GMO of pork and beef gelatin
  • Soy lecithin
  • Cornstarch
  • Modified corn starch
  • Natural aromas
  • Maltodextrin, consisting of different sugars
  • Whey protein from chickens and cattle fed on GMOs
  • Ascorbyl palmitate which gives a fat soluble form of vitamin C
  • Xanthan gum that can thicken and gel a food.
  • Hydrogenated soybean oil

The next time you want to buy food supplements, be sure to read their labels carefully. If it contains the substances mentioned above, then avoid consuming these supplements, in order to preserve your health.
