What does eggplant contain?
Eggplant is a healthy whole food, rich in fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, and low in carbohydrates. According to the May 2008 issue of Bioresource Technology, an eggplant diet is a good choice for managing type 2 diabetes, a condition often associated with being overweight. This suggestion is explained by the high soluble fiber content of eggplant.

Drinking eggplant water promotes weight loss because it contains a significant amount of fiber and water. Fibers facilitate transit and help flush out toxins so you can lose weight. Moreover, some research suggests that drinking pure water helps to lose weight and have good health. How to prepare eggplant water?
To make eggplant water, cut one or two whole aubergines into pieces. Heat a large pot of water to a boil and add the eggplant slices, then let it boil for five to ten minutes. Other benefits of eggplant

Eggplant contains several substances that can fight cancer cells. For example, solasodine rhamnosyl glycosides (SRGs) are a type of compound found in some nightshade plants, including aubergines. Some animal studies have shown that GIS can cause cancer cell death and can also help reduce the recurrence of certain types of cancer.

A review of approximately 200 studies showed that fruit and vegetable consumption was associated with protection against pancreatic, stomach, colorectal, bladder, cervical and breast cancers.

While these results are promising, it is important to note that current research is limited to animal studies. Further research is needed to assess the impact of aubergines on human health.
