To shine silverware, clean a sink, launder laundry or remove a stubborn stain, some natural ingredients are there. Among them, and especially to effectively clean an oven, we find water, baking soda and white vinegar, household essentials.

In the kitchen, there is a device that we use almost all: the oven. Between cakes, pies and gratins, the latter sees many ingredients, as well as alternating between heat and grill or rising temperature and cooling. Thus, dirt (grease, food residue, crumbs) are embedded and become difficult to clean.

This is why we find in the trade of industrial products to strip the oven. However, the latter contain chemical components (caustic soda, butane, propane, monoethanolamine in particular) that are responsible for various health problems, such as irritation of the respiratory mucosa. Thus, it is better to turn to natural products and without danger to health.

How to clean your oven with baking soda and vinegar?

To get rid of dirt in your oven, prepare this natural cleaner. Simply mix in a container (which you can bake), 4 tablespoons of baking soda with half a large glass of water and 2 tablespoons of white vinegar.

Then, generously apply the mixture to the dirt of your oven, dabbing it with a clean sponge. Bake your container with the rest of the mixture at 100-120 ° C (depending on your oven) for 45 minutes. Finally, remove the residue with a damp sponge. You will find that greasy residues and dirt are removed in a single stroke of sponge thanks to the anti-scale, descaling and purifying properties of baking soda and white vinegar, associated with water vapor. In the same way, these ingredients offer a second youth in the oven because they make it shine.

Other natural techniques for cleaning an oven
If you do not have baking soda and vinegar at home, know that there are other natural techniques that can clean an oven. Here they are :

- Lemon: Thanks to its citric acid content and its antibacterial properties, lemon is an ally of the household. In fact, it removes limescale, scale, bacteria and stubborn stains, while offering a tart and fresh smell. For the oven, you just have to recover the juice of two lemons, to apply it on the walls and the glass and then to bake the remains of lemons pressed in a container of water at 80-90 ° C (according to your oven ) for 20 to 30 minutes. Finally, spend a clean sponge.

- Coarse salt: With its granular texture and absorption capacity, salt is particularly useful for cleaning and removing stubborn stains. Thus, it helps to overcome the dirt of the oven. Simply mix 250g coarse salt in 500ml of water to obtain a paste. Then apply on the dirty areas then leave on for about thirty minutes and finish cleaning by wiping with a damp cloth.

- Black soap: Made from black macerated olives, oil, salt, olive potash and water, black soap is one of the many ecological cleaning products. And for good reason, it is sanitizing, degreasing, detaching and purifying. Thus, its use is particularly recommended for cleaning the oven. Apply a small amount of black soap to a damp sponge and clean your oven with it. Finally, rinse with a damp cloth (preferably lukewarm water).
