Benefits of this diet
In a large-scale European study published by The New England Journal of Medicine, researchers would have looked at different types of diets including the high-protein, low-glycemic diet (similar to that of Dr. Oz). During the study, scientists observed that of the 1,209 participants, those who were most successful in their diet consumed more protein and low glycemic foods.

In addition, they would also have lost more weight than people on other diets. According to the results of their research, this weight loss would have even continued after the end of the diet, notably thanks to the reduction of the essential glycemic load in the control of the weight in the patients suffering from obesity.

Foods to avoid

This surgeon presents a 2 weeks diet
  • Wheat-based foods
  • Artificial sugars
  • White sugar
  • The alcohol
  • Coffee

Dairy products (except Greek yogurt authorized)
Because of the low caloric intake of this diet, Dr. Oz recommends not to engage in sports activity during these two weeks. The best is to start any physical exercise once the diet is over. In addition, meals must be consumed between 8am and 8pm. Indeed, it is essential to follow regular schedules on a daily basis regarding food in order to avoid weight gain.

According to a study published by Proceedings of the Nutrition Society, irregular meals would greatly increase cardio-metabolic risk factors. Following the analysis of two groups testing this theory over a period of two weeks, the researchers observed that individuals with regular diet would have decreased their peak insulin and bad cholesterol, compared to their counterparts who would have suffered the opposite effect.

For this purpose, it is necessary to combine food with a healthy lifestyle in everyday life. In addition, physical exercise is very important to keep fit. If you are on a diet that lowers your energy levels, do not exceed the prescribed time or you will run out of danger.
