Flush All Toxins From The Body And Get Healthy With This 2-day Detox Program

Naturopathy or natural medicine has been the subject of growing interest in the last decade. It deals in particular with a problem that could well be at the origin of several evils: the presence of toxins and waste in the human body. This alternative medicine did not fail to emphasize the importance of detoxifying the body to maintain its proper functioning.

Toxins in your body can be classified into two categories: toxins generated inside your body and those from external sources. When they are of internal source, their accumulation is relative to the hygiene of life that you follow. Here is a non-exhaustive list of the factors that may be responsible for it:
  • Your metabolism
  • Food degradation
  • Digestive disorders and excess food
  • The stress

For toxins from external sources, they are waste that penetrate your body without having a particular function and become harmful because your system needs to mobilize more energy to get rid of it. Their accumulation hinders its proper functioning. They can be induced by:
  • Pollution
  • Passive or active smoking
  • Chemical ingredients in foods
  • Fruits and vegetables containing traces of pesticides
  • The emulsifying chemicals in cosmetics and care products

These toxins are ejected out of the body through 5 organs called emunctory organs and are: the liver, kidneys, intestines, lungs and skin. The presence of toxins in excess is harmful because it causes the production of free radicals, single atoms that turn into a toxic element.

A detoxification process, commonly known as a detox cure, can only be effective if it includes foods that stimulate the functions of the emunctory organs. It is also advisable to drink enough water, between 1 and 2 l per day, to stimulate the process of toxin elimination.

The detox program

Day 1
  • Breakfast: A cup of green tea, a cup of oatmeal with almond milk and flax seeds, half a cup of blueberry or blackberries.
  • Lunch: Start with a glass of water, then take a grilled salmon patty, half a cup Swiss chard, baked potatoes with olive oil, a tomato salad and arugula seasoned with olive oil and lemon juice.
  • Snack: a slice of melon and a banana, a glass of water and a Greek yogurt
  • Dinner: 250 g of tuna, 2 cups of salad with arugula and tomatoes, half a cup of broccoli or spinach sauteed in olive oil, a glass of water. In the late evening, you can have a cup of anise tea.

Day 2
  • Breakfast: A cup of green tea, a cup of oatmeal with almond milk and flax seeds, a pear
  • Lunch: 200 grams of grilled chicken breast, vegetable soup (beans, onions, carrots, celery, potatoes and peppers), some gherkins, a glass of water
  • Snack: A handful of grapes, Greek yogurt and a glass of water.
  • Dinner: Beet and carrot salad seasoned with a drizzle of lemon juice, 250 ml of water, a banana

Do not forget to drink a glass of water every day immediately after waking up.

Caution
The consumption of flaxseeds is not recommended for people with intestinal diverticula: these seeds can penetrate small diggings and cause inflammations of the intestine. Linseeds are also contraindicated for people with thyroid diseases. In addition, it is not recommended to take more than 3 tablespoons per day.

This detox cure should not be followed for more than two days. Also, it is recommended to seek advice from your doctor before following such programs.
