Cheese Zucchini Gratin Recipe

Potato gratins are generally preferred for unanimity at mealtimes. Young and old alike gather around a table to share a delicious and comforting dish.

However, it is not the only vegetable that you can incorporate into this recipe since there are much more interesting variations in terms of taste and nutrition. This time we offer you a version made with zucchini, a real treat!

Ingredients :

- 1 kg of zucchini
- 2 onions
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 clove of garlic
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 teaspoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of rosemary
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Nutmeg
- 60 g of Parmesan cheese + 15 g for the garnish
- 2 eggs
- 10 cl of milk

Preparation:
1. Start by preheating your oven to 180 ° C (thermostat 6 to 7).

2. Cut your zucchini into rounds of plus or minus 1 cm, then place them in a drainer with a little salt so that they can release their water and set aside.

3. Mince the onions with the olive oil in a pan and let them sweat for 5 minutes, trying to mix from time to time.

4. Meanwhile, take a bowl and beat the eggs as if you were making an omelet. Then add the thyme, rosemary and oregano, do the same for the garlic once you have crushed it. You can then add the 10 cl of milk and the 60 grams of grated parmesan.

5. Salt and pepper to taste before mixing your preparation to make it homogeneous.

6. Take a gratin dish and place the onions first, then arrange the zucchini so that they cover everything. Just pour your preparation all over your dish.

7. Finish by garnishing with parmesan and scraping a little nutmeg over it. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes. Once cooked, do not hesitate to leave a few extra minutes to brown your gratin.
